Membership

The dedication of the WRANS Memorial at HMAS HARMAN on 1st July 2003 brought together for the first time, in many years, former serving members of the Women's Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS), Royal Australian Naval Nursing Service (RANNS) and serving and former serving members of the Royal Australian Navy.

The significance of this occasion led to a number of participants floating an idea for the formation of an association in Canberra which would serve to unite and develop friendship among all women who have served in, or are current serving members of, the Royal Australian Navy.

The Association is first and foremost a means of keeping in touch with one another, and in particular sharing a common and special experience of having been women in the Navy.

Membership of the Association is open to all former members of the WRANS, RANNS, or women who are serving or have served in the Royal Australian Navy or allied Women's Naval Services.
